Six Nations Polytechnic (SNP) STEAM Academy Prepares For End of School Year

Update June 22, 2021

At SNP STEAM Academy, June 24 will mark the final day of classes. While this year-end is not what we wished for our students and staff, SNP recognizes that safety and wellbeing must remain the priority as the province moves toward the safe reopening of our communities.

Year-end activities and timelines:

June 23: Graduation photos are scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Graduates are reminded to check email for their assigned time slot. Photos will be taken outdoors rain or shine and will follow provincial and public health guidelines and restrictions https://covid-19.ontario.ca/public-health-measures.

June 24: Awards will be presented from 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. through a virtual ceremony for students in grades 9 thru 12. Students can pick up their awards and the Standing Bear Program incentives when they return their learning devices and equipment. Dismissal for the final day of classes will be at 2:10 p.m.

June 25 & June 28: Learning devices and equipment returns can be dropped off at the west entrance on June 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for last names ending in A to L, or June 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for last names ending in M to Z. Laptops and cords, data sticks, textbooks, and STEAM Academy property on loan for remote learning must be returned except for students participating in summer learning programs.

July 5: Report cards will be mailed to the student’s home.
