'1924: What Happened and Why' by Rick Hill

This presentation will examine the issues leading up to the attempted takeover of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy Council of Chiefs, the significant events of October 1924, and the consequences of those events, as well as the federal government’s intention of ousting the Chiefs, confiscating the wampum, and imposing their law upon the community at Grand River.
