Reading Circle Tuesdays | Achievement Centre

An interactive reading program while learning about Haudenosaunee legends. These lessons provide learners with culturally based information that is meaningful, interesting and strengthens your reading skills.

Learning the Ganǫ́hǫnyǫhk (Thanksgiving Address) in Gayogo̱ho:nǫˀ (the Cayuga Language)

SNP will be offering a 6-week beginner language workshop focusing on the Thanksgiving Address in the Cayuga language, instructed by Goihwae Henry. These beginner language workshops are non-accredited (this means no official documentation is granted and is not eligible for any academic credit now or in the future). Workshops are open to community members 18 years or older.

Attendance in all six weeks of the workshop is mandatory.

Classes are every Tuesday from November 8 to December 13, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

Fee: $30.00

Intermediate Cayuga Language Review (Virtual)

Brush off your Gayogo̲hǫ́:nǫˀ textbooks for this intermediate-level language review series with Greg Longboat. This is a great opportunity for past and current Gayogo̲hǫ́:nǫˀ learners to refresh their language skills in both speaking and grammar. The series will be Mondays and Tuesdays online from 5-8 pm starting August 8 to August 30. This language review series is open to Six Nations Polytechnic current (e.g., year 3 and 4 BAOL students) and prior learners and other Gayogo̲hǫ́:nǫˀ learners who have some intermediate level Gayogo̲hǫ́:nǫˀ knowledge already.
