Gregory Cajete, a Native American educator, honours the foundations of indigenous knowledge in education through designing culturally responsive science curricula.  He is a Tewa Indian from Santa Clara Pueblo, New Mexico and the former Director of Native American Studies and an Emeritus Professor in the Department of Language, Literacy and Sociocultural Studies at the University of New Mexico. Dr. Cajete has authored ten books and has prefaces and chapters in 35 other books
