Through these collaborative partnerships, programs are practical and relevant—supporting learners to build job‑ready skills while strengthening community capacity and economic development.

Skills2Advance – Construction
A free 10-week training program in welding and general carpentry followed by an 8-week paid work placement with a local employer. Includes job search assistance and apprenticeship connections. Successful completion of the program will earn participants many certifications, including: MCAW/FCAW flat position CWB welding qualification, certificate of completion micro-credential, forklift license, standard first aid with CPR-C, working at heights, health and safety and more!

Skills2Advance – Industrial Trades
A free 10-week training program in general machining, welding, industrial millwright, mining and tool and die, followed by an 8-week paid work placement with a local employer. Includes job search assistance and apprenticeship connections. Successful completion of the program will earn participants many certifications, including: horizontal and flat SMAW CSA 47.1 FW classification, CWB welding qualification, certificate of completion micro-credential, forklift license, standard first aid with CPR-C, working at heights, health and safety and more!
