Program Description

Beginning in September 2025, Six Nations Polytechnic students who are enrolled in Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees – 339 will be eligible for the Pre-Health Advantage Pathway. This pathway is intended to offer preferred admission to current Mohawk College students enrolled in either Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees – 339 or Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Certificates and Diplomas - 340 into a number of Mohawk College’s highly sought-after healthcare programs. These programs include:

Biotechnology - 370

From innovations in agriculture, environmental sustainability, public health, medicine, and biomanufacturing, biotechnology is transforming the way we treat our planet and each other for the better.

Admission Requirements:

  1. Submission of Letter of Understanding (LOU).
  2. Completion of Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees – 339 program with:
  • Pre-Health Mathematics 1: 60%
  • All other courses: Minimum grade of 60%
 
Biotechnology - Advanced - 671

Explore biotechnology at the molecular, micro and engineering levels. Participate in world-class labs and research to provide sustainable solutions in food, environmental, pharmaceutical and medical fields.

Admission Requirements:

  • Submission of Letter of Understanding (LOU).
  • Completion of Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees – 339 program with:
  • Pre-Health Mathematics 1: 60%
  • All other courses: Minimum grade of 60%
   
Cardiovascular Technology - 728

Acquire knowledge, skills and principles to assist physicians in various aspects of cardiac diagnosis through this high-demand program.​

Massage Therapy - 469

Massage Therapists assess and treat physical dysfunction and pain of soft tissues and joints of the body, primarily through hands-on manipulation, remedial exercise plans, and client education programs.​

  2. Completion of Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees – 339 program with:
  • English for Pre-Health G.A.S.: 70%
  • Advanced Pre-Health Math 2: 70%
  • One of either: Biology for Pre-Health 2: 70%, Chemistry for Pre-Health 2: 70%, or Physics for Pre-Health: 70%
  • All other courses: Minimum grade of 60%
   
Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant - 746

Take on an important supporting role in occupational therapy and physiotherapy in this client-centred career.

Radiography - Medical Radiation Sciences - 740

Get prepared with the knowledge, practical skills and judgement to provide patient-focused care while performing radiological procedures in a diagnostic imaging department.​

Recreation Therapy - 283

At the core, Recreation Therapists use leisure as a tool to help people of all ability levels make the most of their lives – physically, mentally, emotionally and socially.​

  • English for Pre-Health G.A.S.: 70%

Ultrasonography - Medical Radiation Sciences - 750

Get prepared with the knowledge, practical skills and judgement to provide patient-focused care while performing diagnostic medical sonography imaging procedures in the specialty of diagnostic ultrasound.​

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (1st Discipline) - 767

Mohawk College’s MRI program offers flexible, online learning to gain the advanced technical skills and knowledge to qualify to write the CAMRT certification exam.
