New Career Centre to provide culturally grounded employment supports for Brantford job seekers
BRANTFORD, December 5, 2025 – Six Nations Polytechnic (SNP) is proud to announce the launch of a new Integrated Employment Service (IES) for the Brantford-Eagle Place catchment area, delivered in partnership with Fedcap Canada and Employment Ontario. This service will form the foundation of the SNP Career Centre, a comprehensive hub designed to support jobseekers, learners, and community members in achieving sustainable employment and career success.
The IES model offers coordinated wraparound supports, including employment counselling, training pathways, employer engagement, and individualized action planning. As an Indigenous-led institution committed to lifelong learning and community prosperity, SNP will deliver these services through a culturally grounded, learner-centred approach.
“A central part of SNP’s mission is to create meaningful pathways that support both economic self-sufficiency and community well-being,” said Amy Gleiser, Dean, Community, Health, Trades and Apprenticeship at Six Nations Polytechnic. “The new SNP Career Centre and Integrated Employment Service will ensure that both Indigenous and non-Indigenous jobseekers have access to high-quality guidance, training options, and employer connections. We are proud to be deepening our role in supporting community members on their path to long-term, rewarding employment.”
Dr. Richard Anderson, Chief Operations Officer at Six Nations Polytechnic, shared that “SNP is excited to partner with Fedcap Canada and Employment Ontario to support local jobseekers and to strengthen our ongoing role as a key economic and community development driver in the Brantford community.”
The SNP Career Centre will open in 2025 at the Brantford Campus, inside the Athletic Building. It will provide both in-person and digital employment services, build community partnerships, engage local employers, and offer tailored supports for individuals who need higher levels of assistance. More details on staffing and service access will be announced as development progresses.
