Joslyn (Konwentenras) Jamieson is a Mohawk woman of the Turtle Clan originally from Six Nations of the Grand River Territory. At an early age her grandparents taught her that the importance of receiving an education is to return and help the people. Degrees and certification from her studies include Psychology, Biotechnology Technologist – Forensics, Small Business Management, as well as Adult Education. Now working at the Woodland Cultural Centre as the Onkwehonweh Administrative Assistant/Research Cataloguer for the First Nations Language Department, Konwentenras continues to reclaim her Kanyen’keha/Mohawk language in the same residential school building her grandmother was forced to lose hers and assists in preserving the historical accounts of Rotinonhsyonni civilization for future generations.
