Future in Trades
This new full-time 7-week program provides learners the opportunity to explore various trades offered at SNP. The program is designed for individuals interested in pursuing a career in skilled trades but are unsure what field to specialize in. As students gain experience in introductory theory and hands-on exposure their interests should develop in a particular field.

Program Entrance Requirements
- Minimum 16 years old or older
- Willing to commit to full-time classes, 4 days per week
- Have CSA approved steel toed boots (above ankle)
The Trades Exploration program is open to domestic students only.
Learning Outcomes
Students will participate in introductory topics in areas that include:
- Shop Safety
- Soft Skills for Manufacturing
- SNP Trades Program and Career Exploration
- Intro to Blueprint Reading
- Welding and Metal Fabrication Introduction
- General Machinist, CADD, and 3D Printing Introduction
- Introduction to Culinary Arts
- Introduction to Woodworking
