Rapid Testing

Rapid antigen testing (RAT) is a screening tool to help detect COVID-19 in individuals without any symptoms of COVID-19.  Rapid antigen testing involves a nasal swab (using a small cotton bud) that is inserted approximately 2 cm in the nostrils to collect the specimen.  The swab is then placed into a chemical solution and tested.   The test result displays within 15 to 20 minutes, at which point the individual will be confidentially notified of their test result.
