Program Description

Additional Qualification (AQ) Courses are professional learning opportunities for educators who are registered with the Ontario College of Teachers. Six Nations Polytechnic is an approved AQ provider.

Non-certified teachers will be considered for admission on a case-by-case basis.

Environmental Education (Online)
Six Nations Polytechnic’s Environmental Education, Part 1 employs a holistic, integrated and inquiry learning approach to critically explore theoretical foundations, instructional design and strategies, ethical considerations, and the development and implementation of programs across the divisions. This is an experiential, inquiry-based course with the integration of STEAM, Indigenous knowledge, land-based learning, and stewardship and sustainability. Non-certified teachers will be considered for admission on a case-by-case basis.

This course will be offered online.

Withdrawal/Refund Schedule:

End of first week of class: 100% (minus $50 admin fee)

End of second week of class: 50% refund (minus $50 admin fee)

End of third week of class: 0% refund (minus $50 admin fee)

Last day to withdraw without academic penalty: End of the 4th week of class

Admission Requirements: 

Registered with the Ontario College of Teachers

Program Fee: $685 (includes a $50 non-refundable admin fee)
