SNP STEAM Forms & Documents

SNP STEAM has a variety of resources available to families and parents.

Welcome!

Innovation, automation, and digital platforms are changing the workplace. It is estimated that 65% of children entering primary schools today will likely work in jobs that don’t yet exist. Studies have found that traditional education systems have not kept pace with the skill sets and competencies required to succeed in the workplace. The slow responses of schools in adapting curriculum to keep pace with rapid technology changes have resulted in employers saying they cannot find the workers with the necessary in-demand skill sets required to fill employment opportunities.

At Six Nations Polytechnic STEAM Academy we create the next generation of innovators. We offer students a technology-rich education with up-to-date technology, hands-on learning, and mentoring and internships with our technology partners. Your child will graduate with an Ontario Secondary School Diploma and, if you choose, a tuition-free Ontario College Software Engineering Technicians Diploma. Upon graduation, your child will be career-ready and may choose to enter the workforce or continue their post-secondary education.

Students begin designing their own career pathways by developing an understanding of promising careers and how to acquire the education, skills, knowledge, and experiences needed to thrive in those careers.

Parent Involvement

Parents/Guardians matter as vital partners who contribute much to the work of our educators, schools, and communities. They matter as leaders, mentors, and models of commitment to excellence in education, and they matter every day as they influence and support their children’s academic achievement. (Adapted from Parents in Partnership. MOE. 2010)

Contact the school with inquiries on how to become involved or increase your involvement with the STEAM Academy school community.

School Visitors - All visitors, including parents, are to report to the office upon arrival. Unauthorized visitors are not allowed on SNP STEAM Academy property. This includes friends not attending SNP STEAM Academy, and family not authorized by parents/guardians.

Volunteers - SNP STEAM welcomes the contributions of volunteers in the school and the shared knowledge and skills are valued, as partnerships with volunteers are established. Contact the STEAM Academy administrator to discuss volunteer opportunities and the necessary protocols that are in place at the campus.

School-Family Communication- SNP STEAM Academy will maintain ongoing communication throughout the school year, and encourage the same from our families. Administration and teachers may use phone calls, email, texts, monthly newsletters, and paper notices. Brightspace for Parents and STEAM Academy Facebook are other electronic options.
